Lita Rossana Ford (also also known as Lita Ford) is a British born American singer on guitar who took as the lead vocalist of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. They gained attention for their provocative lyrics and punkish design. The group failed to achieve major success in The United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. After the band split in 1979, Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. After taking vocal lessons she debuted her own solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford's albums were not very successful and she disappeared for a couple of years. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her biggest hit songs. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she disappeared in the world of music for many years. Her re-emergence was with the albums "Black" in 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. The year 2016 brought the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
