Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. Her movies include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). She was raised by an artistic family in New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of arts. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. In her first two films, she was recognized and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was nominated for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. With just three movies she was the highest-rated female box office star in the entire world. Handprints, signatures and footprints were immortalized in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
